In response to the worst flood in Brazil’s history, SOFTSWISS, a global technology provider for innovative iGaming solutions, launched a multi-phase charitable project.

The campaign aims to not only provide immediate relief to affected people and long-term support to restore the region, but also invite industry players to join the initiative.

SOFTSWISS started campaign in support of Rio Grande do Sul

At the end of April, the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul faced severe flooding. Many urban areas are still underwater, and experts say the water is not likely to recede anytime soon.

The humanitarian situation worsens daily as the climate deteriorates and shortages of food, water and clothing become more serious. The state and the public, including businesses and individuals, are doing what they can to help.

“Recognizing Brazil as a key market, SOFTSWISS has dedicated significant efforts to establishing a strong presence here,” said Ivan Montik, founder of SOFTSWISS.

“Our goal is to be a trusted partner for the Brazilian people and help the local sector grow. We now have employees in the region, and in light of the country’s recent difficulties, sitting out is not an option. We are committed to supporting the people Brazilian during this difficult period.”

“We are providing emergency financial assistance by partnering with organizations that can quickly deliver food, clothing and water to those affected by the flood. In addition, we are developing a long-term initiative to install water purification equipment in schools in the affected regions,” he added.

Providing direct assistance

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, SOFTSWISS allocated funds to provide essential supplies such as food and gas to those in need. So, this immediate assistance is being facilitated by Movimento União BR, a local charitable organization.

Therefore, in addition to immediate assistance, SOFTSWISS is committed to supporting Brazil’s long-term recovery. Therefore, the company promised additional resources to PWTECH for the installation of water purification equipment in schools in the affected regions of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

This will provide a sustainable solution to ensure access to clean water not only during this crisis, but for future generations.

SOFTSWISS and iGaming community involvement

SOFTSWISS is calling on the global iGaming community to participate in its relief effort initiative. In addition to the financial contribution, the company provides crucial informational support.

SOFTSWISS, together with its Non-Executive Director in Latin America, Rubens Barrichello, chose a reliable Brazilian charity partner to help those who suffered from the flood.

  • Movimento União BR – It is a voluntary movement that acts as a bridge between those who want to help and those who need help. Started in 2020 to fight against the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil, it has already supported more than 26 million people and 4 thousand NGOs.

Furthermore, anyone can contribute to helping flood victims through an official channel activated by the government of Rio Grande do Sul.

SOFTSWISS ensures that donations effectively reach people in need.

Rubens Barrichello, Non-Executive Director of SOFTSWISS in Latin America, also spoke. “I am very happy that the SOFTSWISS team I joined is committed to supporting Brazilians in this difficult situation.

Many charitable initiatives have been launched with the Barrichello Family Institute. I am grateful that, together with SOFTSWISS, we also have the opportunity to help those who need our support now.”

Therefore, by supporting these verified charities alongside financial and informational assistance from SOFTSWISS, the iGaming community can ensure that their contributions directly help those affected by the Brazilian flood.
