Another bookmaker has filed a request for authorization to operate in Brazil. Superbet, sponsor of some first division clubs, now legally enters the online betting market.

In accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Finance, the registration was made last Thursday (11). The request was made through the Betting Management System (Sigap), a public platform that allows the monitoring and inspection of bets.

Superbet is the second company to apply for registration

The company hopes to obtain definitive authorization by the end of the year. With a fixed CNPJ for its operations in Brazil, Superbet needs to comply with the obligation to pay a fixed grant of R$30 million. In addition, it must allocate 12% of revenue from bets to public coffers.

Superbet is the second company to apply for registration in the country, Betano being the first. The CEO of Superbet Brasil, Alexandre Fonseca, highlighted the importance of complying with federal legislation.

“Since the company’s arrival in Brazil, all our efforts have been focused on complying with federal legislation”, stated Fonseca.

He also emphasized that the federal grant is essential to ensure that only bets committed to the regulated and sustainable market operate in Brazil.

Investments in sponsorship exceed R$100 million, which include sponsorship with São Paulo and Fluminense.

According to F5 data, Superbet is the second largest advertiser on TV among sports betting houses. It spends 17% of its advertising time during program breaks. But Betano remains the leader with 23%.

Sponsorship of cultural events

In addition to football, Superbet also invests in major cultural events. It was one of the first bets to sponsor Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza, strengthening its presence and visibility in the Brazilian market.
