Grupo Esportes da Sorte is closer to operating in the regulated sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil from 2025.
The company completed the necessary documentation and forwarded the authorization request to the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Treasury (SPA/MF). Furthermore, the request is already included in the Betting Management System (SIGAP).
Grupo Esportes da Sorte, leader in the regulatory process, believes that the new rules will bring benefits such as job creation. In addition to new courses, more credibility for the sector and greater security for companies and bettors.
The authorization request is crucial for companies to be able to operate in the country in 2025, when requirements such as the payment of R$30 million for the grant and proof of economic and financial capacity will be required.
Companies will also need to have headquarters in Brazil, customer service channels, in addition to following good advertising practices and promoting integrity.

Authorization Guidelines
The guidelines for authorizations are in ordinance SPA/MF 827, published in May 2023. The ordinance establishes that companies that submit their requests by August 20th will receive a response from the government by December 31st, 2024.
In addition to Esportes da Sorte, the group includes Onabet, an online betting platform, and EDS Cap, which sells capitalization bonds approved by SUSEP. Onabet, with more than a year of operation, has an “excellent” rating on Reclame Aqui and is highly recommended.
