SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1,309, of August 20, 2024, establishes the temporary collaboration of different units of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat with the Authorization Subsecretariat.
This collaboration includes the Secretariat’s Office, the Sub-Secretariat for Monitoring and Inspection, and the Sub-Secretariat for Sanctioning Action, with activities focused on analyzing requests for authorization for the commercial exploitation of sports betting and online games and preparing technical opinions.
The ordinance, signed by Secretary Regis Dudena, came into force on the date of its publication and is valid until December 31, 2024.

THE SECRETARY OF PRIZES AND BETS OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE, in the use of the powers conferred on him by art. 55, item II, of Annex I, of Decree No. 11,907, of January 30, 2024, and in view of the provisions of Law No. 14,790, of December 29, 2023, in Ordinance No. 1,330, of October 26, 2023 , of the Minister of State for Finance, and in Ordinance No. 827, of May 21, 2024, of the Secretary of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance, resolves:
Art. 1 This Ordinance provides for the temporary collaboration of other units of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat with the Authorization Subsecretariat.
Art. 2 Permanent public servants working in the following units of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat begin to work in collaboration with the Authorization Subsecretariat:
I – Office of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat;
II – Subsecretariat for Monitoring and Inspection; and
III – Subsecretariat for Sanctioning Action.
Single paragraph. The collaboration referred to in the caput will last from the entry into force of this Ordinance until December 31, 2024.
Art. 3 The collaboration referred to in art. 2nd will consist of carrying out activities related to:
I – analysis of requests for authorization for commercial exploitation of the lottery modality of fixed-odd betting by economic agents; and
II – preparation of technical opinions that will support decision-making regarding authorization requests.
Single paragraph. The preparation of the final opinion approving the authorization will be the responsibility of the Authorization Subsecretariat.
Art. 4 This Ordinance comes into force on the date of its publication.
