Santos Futebol Clube is about to change its master sponsor. This Monday (24), president Marcelo Teixeira confirmed that Blaze will not renew the contract to print the main space of the black and white uniform.

According to Teixeira, “It is being negotiated. Blaze has already expressed that it is not interested in renewing. There was an agreement where Blaze will continue with the investments they are making, but we will possibly make the change. The marketing and financial departments are working towards this renewal.”

Viva Sorte could be the new main sponsor of Santos

The big favorite to take the position is Viva Sorte, the capitalization bond company already sponsors the club. Since February 5th, the date of Neymar‘s debut, the brand’s logo has been on the back of the professional team’s shirt.

Regarding Viva Sorte, Teixeira commented: “Viva Sorte is part of a work and a project. It may be so (it is her), but it may be that we have another type of partnership for the shirt.”

It is worth noting that Viva Sorte purchased the naming rights for Vila Belmiro in 2024. However, the contract ended on the last day of the year and was not renewed. This is because Santos plans to renovate the stadium soon.

On the other hand, the agreement with Blaze was signed in April 2023, worth R$45 million. The numbers were readjusted in March last year, meaning the contract lasts until April 2025.

With the change, Santos hopes to receive an even larger amount from the new master sponsor, driven by the return of star Neymar and the possibility of extending his contract. Marcelo Teixeira stated: “The numbers are growing, for sure.”

Meanwhile, Peixe returns to the field on Sunday, when they face Red Bull Bragantino, in the quarterfinals of the Campeonato Paulista. The game will be at Vila Belmiro, starting at 8:45 pm (Brasília time).
