On Tuesday night (8), the Brazilian Company for Supporting Compulsive Disorder (EBAC) was recognized with an important milestone in its recent trajectory.
Founded in 2023 with the aim of helping bets implement responsible gaming and providing support to compulsive gamblers, the company was awarded in the ‘Best Responsible Gaming Initiative’ category during the BiS Awards 2025 ceremony.
The award highlights the main names on the national scene, valuing talents, projects and initiatives that contribute to transforming and inspiring Brazilian culture.
To achieve this recognition, EBAC developed an effective protocol capable of directly meeting the requirements of Ordinance No. 1,231/2024 – Responsible Gaming –, published by the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Treasury.
Among the actions carried out, the mandatory support in welcoming compulsive gamblers and the review of the compliance processes of partner companies stand out.

Ricardo Magri, CEO of EBAC and specialist in igaming business development, stated: “Awards are recognition, something we value a lot at this stage, at the beginning of our journey.
This achievement in particular, which comes from the demonstration of support from market participants themselves, consolidates our take-off and gives us confidence to continue confidently implementing our strategy, which is aimed at promoting the gaming and betting market in a healthy condition, which is the main idea of responsible gaming.”
Cristiano Costa, clinical and organizational psychologist, as well as the company’s chief knowledge officer (CKO), also celebrated the award: “We are all very happy at EBAC with the award received because it truly reflects our history.
For over a year, before the publication of the Responsible Gaming Ordinance, we had the entire scope of work prepared to put into practice this challenging project of welcoming and guiding gamblers with a risk profile.
We know that the world of betting has a big impact on dreams, imagination and people’s desires, and EBAC developed the Compusafe Seal, initially aimed at people with this more sensitive profile.
But it soon realized that it also needed to work towards certifying its own betting platforms. Today, we are proud to receive this award because it reflects what the future holds for EBAC, positioning us in the market as an organization that will certify people and companies in responsible gaming.”

According to Costa, the main objective is to transform the Compulsafe Seal into a reference of credibility in the area. “We work 24 hours a day to be able to generate a more reliable and safer betting environment for everyone,” he concluded.
In addition to the main achievement, EBAC was also nominated in two other categories: ‘Best Action to Combat Gambling Disorder’ and ‘Rising Star of the Year’.
With five editions held, BiS Sigma Americas has established itself as the main meeting of companies and professionals in the igaming, bettech and sports betting ecosystem in Brazil. Experts and major companies in the sector come together to discuss new advances in technology and strategies, while participants have the opportunity to expand their networking.
