Eight personalities will make up the jury for the SPORTEL 2024 Awards, which will be held from October 27th to 29th at the Grimaldi Forum, in Monaco. The announcement was made last Thursday (10).

SPORTEL Monaco brings Laura Flessel-Colovic to the event

Chaired by an icon of French fencing, Laura Flessel-Colovic, former Minister of Sports, five-time Olympic medalist, six-time world champion, one-time European champion and eighteen-time French champion, the jury of this new edition brings together several sporting celebrities from different backgrounds. origins.

Alongside the “wasp”, as she is nicknamed, and who remains the most decorated French athlete at the Olympics in all sports, will be Pauline Déroulède, the number 1 wheelchair tennis player in France, this extraordinary athlete with a mind of steel , three-time French champion (2021, 2022 and 2023).

Also part of the jury is dancer, photographer and artistic director Mathieu Forget, with his keen eye for sports images. Known as “The Flying Man” for his talent in capturing the movement of an athlete in mid-air, Forget will bring his experience to select the most beautiful sports sequences of the year.


Also joining this impressive jury will be Jackson Richardson, the man who transformed the destiny of French handball. He has a record 417 appearances for the National Team, two-time world champion, voted Best Player in the World in 1995 and Best Player of France in the 20th century.

Richardson, who was also the French Olympic team’s chef de mission at the Paris Olympics, will play a crucial role this year.

Sports stars on the SPORTEL Monaco Jury

Céline Jobert, a prominent figure in sports marketing in France, specializing in innovative and engaging communication strategies, will also be part of the jury. She is president of the LAFOURMI agency and The Fan Syndicate, the first independent communications group dedicated to the sports sector in France.

Jobert will also share his sports business expertise to help determine the winners of the Golden Podiums and the 2024 Renaud de Laborderie Book Prize.

Stéphane Le Goff, a renowned reporter who has covered ten Olympic Games and World Cups across various sports, will accompany them. In addition to him, Robert Colle, vice-president of the Monaco Ski Federation, will be present, representing the Monaco Olympic Committee.

Finally, Florent Pietrus, a big name in French basketball and member of the Athletes’ Commission of the French Olympic Committee. The athlete was also European champion in 2013 with 230 games for the national team and will represent Peace & Sport Champions for Peace as part of this year’s jury. He will announce the winners among the 18 selected works and five pre-selected books.
