Playtech launches technology with NorthStar Bets in Ontario, Canada

Playtech, the gaming technology company, has launched its multi-channel technology with NorthStar Bets, a brand based in Ontario, Canada, which provides players with a unique and exclusive user experience on its casino gaming and sports betting platform. The launch forms part of the strategic partnership closed earlier this year, building on Playtech’s track record of developing newly regulated online marketplaces.

Pursuant to the agreement, Playtech has become NorthStar Gaming’s strategic software and services provider and is now making its IMS platform, casino and live casino services available to the Ontario public. With the addition of poker content later this year, the company will provide NorthStar Bets with its entire line of technology products to enable one of Ontario’s premier online casino and sports betting experiences.

As in Ontario, Playtech is also involved in the development of newly regulated gambling markets such as Colombia and the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the same time, it supports the creation of regulations that encourage responsible gaming in countries that are still working on approving this market, such as Brazil, Chile and others.
