Fan Duel reached a long-term agreement with DC United, the American football team that disputes Major League Soccer (MLS). Thus, the group became the partner of the club official for the sports betting service.
According to SBC Notícias, the deal was the company’s first with an MLS team. The intention is to open a sports betting center at Audi Field next year, depending on the time to obtain DC Lottery approvals and licenses.
Retail bets will feature several self-service terminals available to fans throughout the year, as well as bets on the country’s main sports such as professional football, baseball, football, basketball, golf, boxing, motorsports racing and much more.

Sam Porter, DC United’s director of strategy, said: “DC United is looking forward to the opportunity to work with a top operator in this exciting new segment.”

Matt King, the CEO of FanDuel Group, also spoke about the company’s business deal. “As we continue to expand our presence, joining forces with one of the most iconic clubs in the MLS allows us to bring the benchmark sports betting service to the nation’s capital.”
King also pointed out that “we are partnering with DC United to elevate the experience of fans at Audi Field and bring an experience in sports games that other parts of the United States have already known and loved with FanDuel”.
