Paddy Power has entered into a deal with the Spotlight Sports Group, with the bookmaker launching Spotlight sports content across its retail network.
Sports data and analysis will be the first materials to be launched at retail stores, and will be available at Paddy Power bookmakers in the UK and Ireland.
The material will be integrated into 450 Paddy Power establishments and will involve summary tips based on statistical analysis and expert opinion, covering more than 20 sports.
“This is a big step for us as a company,” said Spotlight Sports Group retail director Alan Pepperell.
Pepperell added: “For a long time, we have worked closely with Paddy Power, providing racing and greyhound racing content to Racing Post in the store and on the online platform. However, this marks our first steps in sport on a retail property complete “.
According to the director of the Spotlight group, “our material goes beyond the odds to engage betting shop customers and provides them with expert analysis to help make the best possible sports betting decision.”

The launch coincides with the reopening of bookmakers amid the pandemic of the new coronavirus, with Paddy Power looking to use the partnership to help it recover from the lack of retail business during the government-restricted period in the UK .
Steven Dalton, the head of retail product management at Paddy Power, also spoke on the deal. “We know that Racing Post content has been an essential product in betting shops for years and we hope that Spotlight material will follow this trend.”
