Last Saturday, July 9, businessman John Textor, owner of Botafogo’s SAF, announced the club’s newest master sponsor, the betting site Blaze.
The businessman shared a video showing the betting brand’s logo already occupying the noblest space of the club’s shirt.
Shortly after the announcement of Textor, Botafogo also announced the new partnership on its official channels. The agreement is valid until the end of this year and the betting brand is now on the uniforms of the men’s, women’s and under-23 teams.
In an official note published on the team’s official website, John Textor commented on the partnership: “Blaze has a disruptive mindset aligned with our project and sees Botafogo as the ideal partner to leverage its business.”
“The club always wants to have the best by its side. Blaze is also a ‘chosen one’ and has everything to do with Botafogo. The company name refers to the flame and the symbol has fire as an element… Be well- coming”, added Textor
The amounts of the agreement were not disclosed. The brand’s debut in the uniform took place this Sunday, in the game against Cuiabá, for the Brasileirão. The company is also a sponsor of digital influencer Felipe Neto, who is passionate about Botafogo.
