On Wednesday, April 9, Ênio, Juventude striker, used Instagram to declare his “total innocence” and make himself available to assist in the investigations conducted by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and the Government.
Ênio wrote: “Given the seriousness of the accusations, the appropriate legal measures are already being taken to prove my complete innocence and hold accountable those who may be acting in bad faith or rashly.”
Furthermore, he also stated: “I make clear my complete availability to contribute with whatever is necessary so that, in the shortest possible time, I can return to performing my job.”
Return to Youth
After being removed, Ênio was reinstated to the squad on Tuesday (8). The club reported: “After extensive conversations with the athlete and based on the information he has had access to so far, Ênio will continue to carry out his activities normally, training with the group and at the disposal of the technical committee for the Brazilian Championship commitments.”
Ênio will be available to face Ceará on Saturday (12), in the third round of the Brasileirão Series A.
